UAE Launches Emirati National Identity Strategy to Reinforce National Values, Unity, and Cultural Pride

The United Arab Emirates government has introduced a nationwide initiative called the “Emirati National Identity Strategy”, announced during the 2025 UAE Government Annual Meetings 2025 held in Abu Dhabi. According to the announcement made by Salem bin Khalid Al Qassimi, the strategy is a collaborative effort between the Ministry of Culture and the National Projects Office of the Presidential Court, aiming to strengthen national values, unity, and cultural pride across all communities and sectors. The framework sets out foundational principles, core values, and national initiatives, as well as mechanisms for measuring progress. It places emphasis on the individual and human element as integral to shaping a cohesive national identity. The launch reflects broader leadership perspectives on reinforcing the sense of national belonging and societal stability.
