Sustainability Efforts of Dubai

Dubai is increasingly prioritizing sustainability in its development plans, with initiatives aimed at reducing carbon emissions and enhancing energy efficiency. One of the most significant frameworks guiding these efforts is the Dubai Clean Energy Strategy 2050.

Launched in 2015, the Dubai Clean Energy Strategy 2050 aims to transform Dubai into a global hub for clean energy and green economy. The overarching goal is to ensure that 75% of Dubai’s total power output comes from clean sources by 2050.

The strategy sets a target to generate 25% of the emirate's energy from renewable sources by 2030. This includes solar, wind, and other alternative energy sources. The long-term vision seeks to increase this percentage significantly by 2050.
