All Eyes on Africa as UAE Announces $6 Billion Tourism Investment Plan
In a strategic push into the African tourism and hospitality market, the UAE has announced a US$6 billion investment plan targeted at the continent, as revealed at the UAE Africa Tourism Investment Summit 2025 held in Dubai under the patronage of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. The plan intends to generate around 70,000 new jobs across Africa and involve a broad range of projects in aviation, logistics, infrastructure and digital innovation. The move comes as Africa is experiencing the fastest tourism growth globally, and the UAE is positioning itself as a key investor and partner in that growth. The announcement was jointly organised by the Ministry of Economy and Tourism and The Bench, under the Future Hospitality Summit framework.
